1.    Summary

2.     Basic Functions and Application
3.1.1 Multiple Communication Means and Flexible Networking Methods
Communication means supported include GPRS, GSM (SMS), CDMA, RS232, RS485, etc. The remote stations can select the appropriate communication means according to the actual situation, so the networking is flexible.

When the communication means of combining GPRS/CDMA and GSM (SMS) is used, DTU (communication module) of E-Lins has the function of automaticly switching between two channels to ensure real-time communication.

3.1.2 Collector and Communication Module Monitoring Each Other
The collector and the communication module can monitor each other’s operation, and both can enable the processing program in case of abnormity.

3.1.3 Automatic Warning
When the observed data exceeds the threshold, the warning report of observed data is automatically generated and the HMI is informed.

3.1.4 Self-diagnosis of Operation Status
The operation of the collector, the status of the sensor and the condition of power supply, etc. can be monitored, and reports are periodically generated and transmitted to the HMI for monitoring the remote and automatic station.

3.1.5 Remote Processing
The collector provides the remote processing function, and allows the HMI to remotely operate the automatic station through all kinds of communication means, such as requesting for observed data, requesting for operation data, maintaining the collector remotely, etc.; provides commands of collector terminal, and can enter the collector terminal to search and collect all kinds of operation parameters.

3.1.6 Big Storage Capacity
With the internal storage of 1.7M and external extended storage greater than 160M. Observed data can be stored for more than 1.5 months continuously.

3.1.7 Good Power Supply Guarantee
Master and backup power supplies are used. The solar cell is used with the big capacity, high performance storage cell to supply 12V DC master power for the system, which ensures above 30 days of endurance of the storage cell in continuous overcast and rainy days. When the master power supply is cut or the voltage drops below the setting, the system will automatically switch to the backup cell; when the capacity of the backup cell drops below the setting, the power supply of the communication units that consume much electricity will be cut automatically to ensure that the collector can still work normally for a long time and ensure the completeness of the data collected.

The power supply has the function of monitoring the voltage of cell, with over voltage and over current protection.

3.1.8 Extensible Factors
